PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
My involvement in various extracurricular activities has enriched my industry knowledge. I have attended public lectures, webinars, exhibitions, conferences, and events organised by Griffith, industry, other universities, and university clubs. These experiences have kept me informed about trends and innovations while fostering valuable connections with peers and professionals.
Beyond university, I have pursued self-learning opportunities to broaden my expertise and stay ahead in an evolving field. I have completed certificates, such as an Artificial Intelligence course, and participated in global leadership forums. These efforts have equipped me with cutting-edge knowledge and leadership skills increasingly relevant in the architecture industry.
I have also participated in national competitions, honing my skills and providing opportunities to showcase my work on a broader platform. Additionally, I have sought informational interviews with academics and professionals, guiding my career decisions by providing critical insights into different career pathways.
I have engaged in industry networking and mentoring events, including “The Vine,” where I connected with professionals, expanding my network and gaining practical career advice. My ongoing involvement in the Griffith University Industry Mentoring Program has provided continued support and mentorship, which I deeply value.
As a volunteer member of the National Committee for Gender Equity (NCGE) at the Australian Institute of Architects, I actively contribute to advancing diversity and inclusion in the profession. These experiences have enhanced my career readiness and solidified my commitment to contributing positively to the architecture industry.
