IMPACT ON STUDENT ENGAGEMENT AND EXPERIENCE
As a Master of Architecture student at Griffith University, I have been deeply committed to enhancing the student experience through leadership, mentorship, and advocacy. My involvement in the Student Voice Committee within the School of Engineering and Built Environment has been instrumental in representing student concerns and fostering positive changes. By collaborating with peers and faculty, I contributed to improvements in program structure, student well-being, and industry exposure, directly addressing gaps in the student experience. These efforts have led to enhanced academic support and improved student retention, demonstrating a significant, sustained impact on our community.

Additionally, my role as a Griffith Mentor Plus has allowed me to support my fellow students in maximising their university experience. I have actively guided students in utilising available resources, from counselling services to academic support, which has resulted in noticeable improvements in their academic performance and overall well-being. This mentorship has fostered a sense of community and belonging among students, which is vital for their success and engagement.

My commitment to promoting inclusivity extends beyond Griffith University. As a member of the National Committee for Gender Equity at the Australian Institute of Architects, I have advocated for inclusive practices within the profession, ensuring that diverse voices are heard and respected. This work aligns with Griffith’s mission to produce future-ready graduates who are not only skilled but also socially responsible.

Through these initiatives, I have demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and a dedication to enhancing the student experience. My efforts have not only created immediate benefits but have also laid the groundwork for ongoing improvements, ensuring that future students will continue to thrive.
